Maryann Fremion came to Spieth, Bell, McCurdy & Newell after graduating cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She focuses her practice on estate, trust and probate administration, and estate, trust, and tax planning.
Ms. Fremion takes a cost-benefit analysis approach to solving client needs. Her particular area of interest is counseling and providing solutions to individual and corporate trustees on various administration issues. To this end, Ms. Fremion has second-chaired trust modification actions in probate court, drafted private settlement agreements, advised on methods to solve administration problems and has drafted documents to solve such trust issues.
While in law school, she was able to spend a summer abroad in Beijing taking a course in Chinese law and working at a Chinese law firm. In her second year, she was honored with an American Bar Association fellowship and was placed at the Ohio Attorney General’s office. Ms. Fremion was also a law clerk working in litigation for a Fortune 100 insurance company before passing the Ohio bar and joining the firm.
