Jim Havach is a Director and Shareholder and a member of the firm’s Business Law, Tax Law and Planning, and Real Estate practice areas. He is a business attorney whose practice focuses on real estate, commercial transactions, and related tax planning.
Mr. Havach’s expertise is wide ranging in scope and includes the purchase, sale and financing of businesses; the sale, purchase, like-kind exchange, leasing, development and financing of commercial real estate; and commercial contracts and transactions. He counsels businesses and their owners in entity selection, organization and governance, and advises clients on tax matters relating to his transactional and real estate practice. He often assists the firm’s trusts and estates attorneys in transactions and matters which involve his real estate, entity organization and transactional expertise.
Mr. Havach is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations. Mr. Havach earned a B.S.B.A. degree with an accounting major from John Carroll University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
