Ms. Dent does trust and estate planning and is a member of the Ohio and New York State Bars. She practiced with a major Wall Street firm as well as with one of Cleveland's best-known firms before coming to Spieth Bell to work closely with several extended families. Rebecca gives in-depth trust and personal counsel to these families and provides ongoing family office-like administration, review and planning of inherited and new trusts, private foundations, etc. Rebecca was educated at Columbia Law School (JD 1975), where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, New York University (MA 1972) and Barnard College (BA 1970). Ms. Dent speaks at various Estate Planning seminars, has chaired the Cleveland Bar Association Estate Planning Institute, served as a member of the Non-Profits Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and is currently a member of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Rebecca is listed in “Ohio’s Super Lawyers” and in The Best Lawyers in America, has been named one of Cleveland's top 25 women lawyers, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
