| Mr. Miclat focuses his practice on estate planning, transfer tax planning and business succession for closely held entities. He also represents individual clients and tax-exempt entities in charitable giving matters.
Mr. Miclat has implemented many estate planning techniques, ranging from marital deduction trusts to sophisticated planning involving family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, split-interest trusts and private foundations.
Mr. Miclat received his B.A. from Boston College (1994), a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (1997), an LL.M. in Taxation from the Boston University School of Law (2002) and an LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law (2003). He is licensed to practice in Ohio (1997) and Massachusetts (2001), and is a member of the American, Cleveland, and Ohio Bar Associations.
He has given Continuing Legal Education presentations before the Cleveland Bar Association and the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and is a former adjunct faculty member at Anna Maria College, in Paxton, Massachusetts, where he taught an undergraduate course in probate and estate planning matters. |
